My creditor seized my brand new iPhone , he told me that it will serve as payment for my debt to him. Does he have the right to do that?

No. He is even liable Coercion by a creditor under Art 287 of the Revised Penal Code. It is committed by a creditor who, with violence, shall seize anything belonging to his debtor with an intention of applying the same as payment of his debt.
